oh hello!

I stopped doing a radio show. Perhaps I'll pick up a slot again in the future. For now, it's nice not to have to get it together every week, and I get my musical jollies at our record store. I forgot I had this blog. It really adds nothing to the world. For now it's a place-saver. I was googling myself and stumbled upon it. Perhaps this would be the place to work out my inchoate thoughts about my disdain for "progressive" women who want to toss out modern medical and educational gains for some glorified idea of a simpler past (I'm looking at you, unschoolers and non-vaccinators), when men were men and women boiled herbs at home. For now, hello.

wizard rock!

Today we'll have nearly 2 hours of WROCK (wizard rock). I was lucky enough to see Harry and the Potters years ago in Muckerheide's old lube shop, a benefit for WVVY before we even started broadcasting. This NYC band has spawned an entire genre of music dedicated to Harry Potter. I have so much work today (thankfully the overlords of Dutch - English translation are smiling upon me) that I will not be staying in the studio to talk much. It will be all wizard all the time. Here's the playlist. Actually, we'll start with some Lost music because that's coming on tonight and it's a project of Adam who played an awesome show with Father Figures in the basement of John Doe JR a couple of nights ago.

Tuesdays noon to 2 WMCB

The show has been going well. Neglected to post playlists as promised, but I can gather old ones and post. Below is some of what I played during my last show. I'm switching to Tuesdays starting this coming week. It looks like WMCB is almost ready to start webcasting.

From JustinDuerr.com: Skimpy - Recordings by KAT KLIX. This was a project put together by myself [Justin Duerr] and my friend Seph. I played keyboards and sang and he sang and wrote words. We performed in cat costumes and had a theme of sexxxiness and absurdity. Our stage names: "Shitty Kitty" and "Scat Kat". We last performed Halloween 2004 A.D. at C.O.D.E. These songs were recorded at the Catbox in 2002 A.D.

The Philadelphia Experiment - From DAWN OF DECADES recorded at the Catbox in 2000 A.D. by Eulogy

Solo Recordings released in the year 2000 A.D. under the title "DEXTROMETHORPHANAGE: Nurse The Album". This CD contained 23 tracks and was limited to 23 copies.

Mondays noon to 2 pm on WMCB 107.9 lpfm

I'll be doing my show Mondays 12-2 starting in Sept. once the boys start school. I have had radio shows on Radio Volta in Philly and WVVY on Martha's Vineyard called Psychedelarrhythmia. I've decided to stick with the lengthy name. Still love to play new and old psychedelic music (doom, sitar, sixties freaks, new freaks) as well as arrhythmic music (noize) and rhythmic music (disco, eurotrash). I'm not sure where I'll go with my first show. I'll be sure to post my playlists here.

Although WMCB is not yet streaming online, I'll probably continue to post at least part of my show online. Here's a butt-shaking mix for you: http://dutchtoenglish.com/shake.mp3

Looking forward to it!

I CHOOSE GREENFIELD!!
